Ditch your morning coffee for this Cacao & Maca recipe
Happy new year, ya filthy animals! I hope you enjoyed the festive season.
If you’re thinking about picking up any new resolutions (that we all know might not last beyond January 25th), one thing I may suggest is reducing your caffeine intake - ESPECIALLY first thing in the morning.
I love coffee just as much as the next person but too much consumption can disrupt your sleep, impact your energy levels throughout and can even make you a little jittery if you’ve had one too many espressos.
I’ve been looking for natural alternative and I’ve landed on 2 SUPERFOOD ingredients that can be consumed anytime of day: CACAO and MACA. See my recipe below.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Heat 2-3 cups of almond milk (or whatever your preference) in a pan
2 table spoons of Cacao powder
1 table spoon of Maca powder
Stir and leave on a low medium heat for 10 mins
Add honey or sugar once you’ve served into your cup.
