You need this ginger shot recipe!

If you live in a major city, you most DEFINITELY have run into a crusty man who coughs, sneezes or yawns with his mouth wide open on public transport. The audacity blows my mind every time!

Because it’s inevitable that you will come into contact with said person, I’ve made a ginger shot recipe that you should definitely incorporate into your daily routine for optimum immune health.

INGREDIENTS:

1 large chunk of fresh ginger (about 2-3 inches)

1 large chunk of turmeric

2 whole oranges, sliced and peeled

Juice of 1 lemon or lime (because vitamin C is our bestie)

1 tablespoon honey (optional, if you need a little sweetness)

1 tablespoon of seamoss (optional but a great addition for your health)

A pinch of cayenne pepper or black pepper (optional, if you need to clear our mucus)

1/2 cup distilled water or coconut water for the vibes

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Peel & Chop: Take your ginger and remove the skin using a spoon (easier than a knife, I promise). Chop it into smaller pieces.

2. Blend It Up: Throw the ginger into a blender with the turmeric, oranges, seamoss lemon juice, honey, cayenne, and water. Blend until smooth.

3. Strain Like a Pro: Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth to get rid of the pulp—unless you like it chunky (no judgment).

4.Take it To The Head: Pour it into a small glass and down it in one go! (Or sip if you're feeling fancy.)

First Thing in the Morning: On an empty stomach for max benefits.

Before a Big Meal: To help with digestion and prevent bloating.

When You’re Feeling Run Down: For an immune system boost.
